I found yoga at a time when I suffering from high blood pressure, arthritic joints, and was overweight and lacking in self-esteem. Yoga gave me hope for steady, sustainable changes in my wellness. A desire to share this with others developed. I am passionate about wellness, personal empowerment, embracing life fully, and faith. My Therapeutic Yoga session intention is to help my clients feel empowered to access their own personal inner capacity for wellness. My intention is always based on the perspective of meeting my clients where they are, assessing their needs, creating a safe space for them to explore their capabilities, as well as their current limitations, and offering tools to choose from to create their own paths to wellness.
I currently teach Yoga for Deep Relaxation at The Health Collective Tuesday evenings at 6:15, and private group Therapeutic classes at Carrollton Springs Hospital and The Eating Recovery Center at Baylor Plano. I am available for private group and individual yoga therapy sessions by appointment.
I have had the privilege of studying with Joseph and Lillian LePage, Maria Mendola, Beth Gibbs, Genevieve Yellin, Trionne Barnett, Tej Monga, Sherri Cherokee, Thom Allen, and Melissa Bittner.
My proudest accomplishment is being the mom of an amazing twenty-nine-year-old son.
